Cookie policy
Last updated · 15 August 20261. One cookie only, and only if you sign in
MercatImmo uses no analytics, advertising or personalisation cookies, neither its own nor third-party ones. The only cookie that exists is created when you sign in and serves solely to keep that session open.
- Name
datad_session- Purpose
- To identify your session so you don't have to sign in again on every page.
- Contents
- A random identifier with no meaning. It contains neither your email nor any personal data, and on our servers only its cryptographic fingerprint is stored.
- Lifetime
- Up to you. If you tick the box to be remembered when you sign in, 30 days. If you don't, the cookie is a session cookie: it disappears when you close the browser, and on the server it expires after 12 hours. Either way, until you sign out.
- Type
- First-party and strictly necessary. It is
httpOnly, so no script on the page can read it.
Being strictly necessary for a service you request —signing in to your account— it does not require prior consent. If you never sign in, your browser receives no cookie from this site, which is why you will not see a consent banner.
There are no analytics cookies because there is no analytics: this site has no measurement tool installed. You can read the detail in the privacy policy.
2. Local storage that is used
The site stores a single value in your browser's local storage (localStorage), which is not sent to the server and cannot identify you:
- Key
nuxt-color-mode- Purpose
- To remember whether you prefer the site in light or dark mode.
- Contents
- The text
light,darkorsystem. - Lifetime
- Until you clear it from your browser.
This is strictly functional storage: it holds a display preference of yours and does not require prior consent.
3. Third-party content
No scripts, fonts or measurement tools are loaded from outside servers. Nor are there social media buttons or advertising pixels.
The maps are served by Google. The pages with a map —the parish map and the search— load their cartography from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited). In requesting it, your browser tells Google your IP address and the usual technical details of any web request, and Google may set its own cookies in your browser under its policies, over which we have no control.
If you would rather that did not happen, avoid the pages with a map: the search in list mode, the listing pages and the market section work without loading anything from Google.
One case remains: the listing photos. Images from portals whose servers we have identified go through ours, which downloads and resizes them: your browser never talks to them. For the other portals —and for any image that fails to resize— the photo is requested directly from the server where the agency hosts it, and that request tells them your IP address and the usual technical details of any web request. This happens in the results lists and on listing pages, not on the map.
4. How to delete everything
The most direct way to remove the session cookie is to sign out from your profile: it is deleted in the browser and invalidated on the server too, so it stops working even if someone kept a copy.
Both the cookie and the local storage can be removed at any time from your browser's settings, under website data or privacy, by looking for the MercatImmo domain. If you clear the theme preference, the site will go back to following your operating system's.
